Connect Wix

Once connected, your agent can tell buyers where their order is (details go to the buyer’s own email or phone, never into a public chat) and check live stock, sizes and colours. BABAV only reads — it never changes your store.

Connect it

Make a read-only API key in Wix

  1. Open Wix API Keys Manager. You must be the account owner or a co-owner.
  2. Tap Generate API Key.
  3. Name it BABAV.
  4. Under sites, choose specific sites and pick only your store site.
  5. Under permissions, tick the read permissions for Wix Stores (products and inventory) and Wix eCommerce (orders). Nothing else is needed.
  6. Tap Generate Key and copy the key. Wix shows it only once. (Lost it? Make a new one.)

Paste it into BABAV

  1. In BABAV open Settings → Your store → Wix.
  2. Paste the key into Wix API key.
  3. Open your site’s Wix dashboard in another tab. Copy the whole address from the browser bar (it looks like https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/1a2b3c4d-…/home) and paste it into Wix dashboard address. The long code after /dashboard/ is your site ID.
  4. Optional: type your site address (like https://yourshop.com) so the chat bubble is allowed on it.
  5. Tap Connect Wix. BABAV checks that the key can read your products and your orders before it saves anything.

Add the chat bubble (optional)

  1. In BABAV, after connecting, tap Copy code under “Chat bubble on your Wix site”.
  2. In Wix, open your site dashboard → Settings → Custom Code (under Advanced) → + Add Custom Code.
  3. Paste the code. Choose All pages, Load code once, and place it in Body - end.
  4. Tap Apply, then publish your site.

The chat bubble needs Wix Premium

Wix only allows Custom Code on sites with a Premium plan and a connected domain. On a free wixsite.com site the order and stock answers still work in your other connections; only the on-site bubble needs Premium.

Disconnect

Tap Disconnect on the Wix section in BABAV, then delete the key in the Wix API Keys Manager.

Did it work?

  • BABAV checks that the key can read your products and your orders before it saves anything.

Fix a problem

  1. Edit the key in Wix, tick Wix Stores and Wix eCommerce read, and make sure it can reach this site.
