Before you start

  1. Know which email address BABAV should send from.
    • If you are signed in to several Google accounts, BABAV shows a chooser. Pick the address customers know.
  2. Work email on Google Workspace? Your admin may need to allow BABAV.
    • If you see “admin_policy” or “blocked by your admin”, send this guide to the person who runs your company’s Google account.
  3. Use a normal web browser, like Safari or Chrome.
    • Connecting does not work inside the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Gmail apps’ built-in browser.

Connect it

  1. In BABAV, open Connections. Find the Gmail card. Tap Connect →.
  2. Google shows Choose an account. Pick the address BABAV should send from.
  3. Google may say Google hasn’t verified this app. BABAV is waiting on Google’s review. Tap Advanced, then the link to continue to BABAV.
  4. Google lists what BABAV wants to do, with tick boxes. Tick every box, including the one about sending email. Tap Continue.
  5. You come back to BABAV and see “Connected Gmail!”.

Remove BABAV’s access later

Useful if you connected the wrong address and want a clean start.

On a computer

  • Go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps & services → See all connections → BABAV → Delete all connections.

Did it work?

  • The Gmail card shows your name or address, not “Not connected”.

Fix a problem

  1. On Google’s screen, the box that lets BABAV send email was left empty. Without it BABAV cannot send, so Gmail was not connected.
  2. Tap Connect → again. On Google’s screen, tick every box, then tap Continue.

  1. Tap Disconnect on the Gmail card.
  2. Tap Connect →. On Choose an account, pick the right address.

  1. Most of the time this means Cancel or Don’t allow was tapped on the Google screen, or a box was left unticked.
  2. Tap Connect → again. Tick every box, then tap the button that allows access.
  3. Seeing it again after that? Email support@babav.co with a screenshot.

  1. Your company’s Google Workspace admin controls which apps can connect.
  2. Ask them to allow BABAV in the Google Admin console, under Security → API controls. Then connect again.

  1. BABAV’s access to Gmail ran out or was removed.
  2. Tap Reconnect → on the card and sign in again. You do not need to disconnect first.

  1. Every connection your plan includes is already in use.
  2. Tap Go to Billing and add a connection. The price is prorated to today.
  3. Or disconnect a connection you no longer need, then try again.

  1. You opened BABAV inside another app, like Instagram, Facebook or Gmail. Google and Meta block connecting there.
  2. Tap the ••• menu and choose Open in browser. Or copy app.babav.co/dashboard#connections into Safari or Chrome.
  3. Log in and tap Connect → again.
