Before you start
- 1A BABAV number, or your own business number.
- No number yet? Buy one in about 2 minutes: Settings → Phone → Get a number (toll-free or local, monthly price shown first).
- Want to keep your number? Settings → Phone → Your phone number — forward it, move it to BABAV, or add texting to it.
Connect it
- In BABAV, open Connections. Find the Phone card. Tap Connect →.
- Pick I have my BABAV number. (No number yet? Pick Get a BABAV number — choose one and see the monthly price. To use your own number, tap Use my own number.)
- Type the number. US numbers don’t need the +1; others start with + and the country code.
- Tap Connect. Calls and texts both switch on. Each text BABAV sends is added to your bill — the box shows the price per text.
Did it work?
- ✓The Phone card shows your number. Call it and text it from your own phone to test — both land in Phone.
- ✓A new toll-free number can take calls straight away. Texting starts once the carriers approve it (usually a few days) — the number card shows the status.
Fix a problem
- Start with + and the country code. For the US that is +1.
- Check it against the number on Settings → Phone → BABAV number.
