    • It is on your Bluesky profile, under your name.
  2. The Bluesky app or bsky.app, logged in to that account.

Settings to check in Bluesky

No sign-in button? Use an app password

An app password is a separate password only for BABAV. You can delete it any time. Never give BABAV your real password.

On your phone

  1. In Bluesky: Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords. Add one named BABAV.
  2. Tick Allow access to your direct messages, so BABAV can answer DMs.
  3. Copy the password. In BABAV tap Use an app password instead, paste it and tap Connect.

On a computer

  • Same steps on bsky.app.

Remove BABAV later

Signed in? Remove BABAV under Settings → Privacy and security in Bluesky. Used an app password? Delete it there. Your real password is never touched.

On your phone

  • In Bluesky: Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords. Delete the one named BABAV.

On a computer

  • Same steps on bsky.app.

Did it work?

  • The Bluesky card shows your @handle.

Fix a problem

  1. BABAV only accepts an app password, never your real password.
  2. Make one (step 1 above). It looks like four groups of four letters or numbers, with dashes between them.
  3. Paste it with nothing before or after it.

  1. The handle or the app password is wrong. Check the handle on your profile.
  2. Copy the app password again. Or make a new one and paste that.

  1. Type the handle from your profile, like yourname.bsky.social. The @ is optional.

  1. Bluesky is still being tested. Nothing on your side will change it.
  2. Email support@babav.co if you want to try it early.

  1. The app password was made without DM access. Bluesky cannot add it to an existing app password.
  2. In Bluesky: Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords. Add a new one named BABAV, and tick Allow access to your direct messages.
  3. In BABAV, tap Reconnect → on the Bluesky card and paste the new password. Then delete the old app password in Bluesky.

  1. Check the handle on your Bluesky profile and type it again, like yourname.bsky.social.
  2. Still stuck? Tap Use an app password instead and follow those steps.

  1. Bluesky ended the session, or the app password was deleted. Tap Reconnect → and sign in again.
  2. Tap Reconnect → on the card and sign in again. You do not need to disconnect first.
