Before you start

  1. A Discord server where you have the Manage Server permission.
    • If you made the server, you have it. If not, ask the owner. Discord only lists servers where you have this permission.
  2. A text channel where BABAV should post.
  3. Use a normal web browser, like Safari or Chrome.
    • Connecting does not work inside the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Gmail apps’ built-in browser.

Connect it

  1. In BABAV, open Connections. Find the Discord card. Tap Connect →.
  2. Discord opens. Under Add to server, pick your server. Tap Continue.
  3. Discord lists what the bot can do: see channels, send messages, embed links, attach files and read message history. Keep every box ticked. Tap Authorize.
  4. Finish the “I am human” check if Discord shows one.
  5. You come back to BABAV and see “Connected Discord!”. The card shows Server · #channel.
  6. Want a different channel? Tap Change channel on the card.

Let BABAV into a private channel

The bot can only post where it can see the channel.

On a computer

  1. In Discord, right-click the channel → Edit Channel → Permissions.
  2. Add BABAV. Allow View Channel and Send Messages. Save.

Did it work?

  • The Discord card shows your server and channel name.

Fix a problem

  1. No server was chosen, or you do not have Manage Server on it.
  2. Ask the server owner for Manage Server, or ask them to connect it.
  3. Then tap Connect → again and pick the server.

  1. BABAV joined, but it cannot see any text channel it may post in.
  2. Give the BABAV bot View Channel and Send Messages on one text channel (see “Settings to check”). Then connect again.

  1. Tap Change channel and pick a channel the bot can post in. Or give it permission on the current one.

  1. You opened BABAV inside another app, like Instagram, Facebook or Gmail. Google and Meta block connecting there.
  2. Tap the ••• menu and choose Open in browser. Or copy app.babav.co/dashboard#connections into Safari or Chrome.
  3. Log in and tap Connect → again.
