Before you start

  1. A YouTube channel.
    • On youtube.com, click your profile picture. If you see Your channel, you have one.
  2. Know which Google account owns the channel.
    • Some channels live in a Brand Account (a channel with its own name, separate from your personal Google name).
    • On youtube.com, click your profile picture → Switch account. It lists every channel you can use, and the Google account each one is under.
    • Channel not listed? Your Google account is not a manager of it. Ask the channel owner to add you.
  3. For videos longer than 15 minutes, a verified account.
    • Go to youtube.com/verify and verify with a text or call.
  4. Use a normal web browser, like Safari or Chrome.
    • Connecting does not work inside the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Gmail apps’ built-in browser.

Connect it

  1. In BABAV, open Connections. Find the YouTube card. Tap Connect →.
  2. Google shows Choose an account. Pick the Google account that owns your channel.
  3. If Google asks you to pick a channel or Brand Account next, pick your channel.
  4. Google may say Google hasn’t verified this app. BABAV is waiting on Google’s review. Tap Advanced, then the link to continue to BABAV.
  5. Google lists what BABAV wants to do, with tick boxes. Tick every box (or Select all). Tap Continue.
  6. If you have more than one channel, BABAV shows Choose your YouTube channel. Tap yours, then Connect selected.

Remove BABAV’s access later

Useful if you connected the wrong account and want a clean start.

On a computer

  • Go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps & services → See all connections → BABAV → Delete all connections.

Did it work?

  • The YouTube card shows your channel name.

Fix a problem

  1. You picked a Google account that does not own the channel. Connect again and pick the other account, or the Brand Account.
  2. You may have left a YouTube box unticked. Connect again and tick every box.
  3. No channel at all? Create one on youtube.com, then connect again.

  1. One of Google’s tick boxes was left empty. Without it BABAV cannot read or answer comments, so YouTube was not connected.
  2. Tap Connect → again. On Google’s screen, tick every box (or Select all), then tap Continue.

  1. Most of the time this means Cancel or Don’t allow was tapped on the Google screen, or a box was left unticked.
  2. Tap Connect → again. Tick every box, then tap the button that allows access.
  3. Seeing it again after that? Email support@babav.co with a screenshot.

  1. Tap Disconnect on the YouTube card.
  2. Tap Connect →. On Choose an account, pick the right account. BABAV always shows this screen, so you can choose.

  1. BABAV’s access to YouTube ran out or was removed.
  2. Tap Reconnect → on the card and sign in again. You do not need to disconnect first.

  1. The “Choose your accounts” screen was left open for more than 10 minutes.
  2. Go back to Connections and tap Connect → again.

  1. Every connection your plan includes is already in use.
  2. Tap Go to Billing and add a connection. The price is prorated to today.
  3. Or disconnect a connection you no longer need, then try again.

  1. You opened BABAV inside another app, like Instagram, Facebook or Gmail. Google and Meta block connecting there.
  2. Tap the ••• menu and choose Open in browser. Or copy app.babav.co/dashboard#connections into Safari or Chrome.
  3. Log in and tap Connect → again.
