Connect Threads

BABAV posts to your Threads profile and replies to people there.

Before you start

  1. A Threads profile.
    • Open the Threads app. If you can see your own profile, you have one.
  2. Know which account you want to connect.
    • The sign-in page may ask for your Instagram login. That is normal. If you run more than one account, pick the right one before you start.
  3. Use a normal web browser, like Safari or Chrome.
    • Connecting does not work inside the Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Gmail apps’ built-in browser.

Connect it

  1. In BABAV, open Connections.
  2. Find the Threads card. Tap Connect →.
  3. A Threads page opens. Log in if it asks. Check that the name shown is the account you want.
  4. Threads lists what BABAV wants to do: post, read replies, reply, see mentions and see insights. Leave every item on. Tap the button to allow.
  5. You come back to BABAV and see “Connected Threads!”.

Settings to check in Threads

Private profiles reconnect every 90 days

Meta only keeps a private Threads profile connected for 90 days at a time. A public profile does not have this limit.

On your phone

  • When the Threads card says Reconnect needed, tap Reconnect →. It takes a minute.

See or remove BABAV later

Useful if you want to start over.

On your phone

  • In Threads, open your profile and the menu. Go to Account → Website permissions. (Newer versions may put it under More settings.)

On a computer

  • On threads.com, open Settings → Account → Website permissions.

Did it work?

  • The Threads card shows your @handle.
  • Your Threads queue starts filling with draft posts within a few minutes.

Fix a problem

  1. This is Meta’s approval step for BABAV. No setting on your side changes it.
  2. Email support@babav.co and we will tell you when it clears.

  1. Threads did not finish handing over access. Wait one minute.
  2. Tap Connect → again.
  3. Still failing? Log out of Threads in your browser, log back in, and try again.

  1. The sign-in page was closed before the last step.
  2. Tap Connect → again. Stay on the page until you are sent back to BABAV.

  1. Threads access lasts about 60 days (90 for private profiles), then it needs a fresh sign-in.
  2. Tap Reconnect → on the card and sign in again. You do not need to disconnect first.

  1. Every connection your plan includes is already in use.
  2. Tap Go to Billing and add a connection. The price is prorated to today.
  3. Or disconnect a connection you no longer need, then try again.

  1. You opened BABAV inside another app, like Instagram, Facebook or Gmail. Google and Meta block connecting there.
  2. Tap the ••• menu and choose Open in browser. Or copy app.babav.co/dashboard#connections into Safari or Chrome.
  3. Log in and tap Connect → again.
